Child custody, child support, and other family law issues can be
frustrating, and even frightening. But information on child custody laws, child support
laws, and other family law issues is all available right here.
Parentinglaw provides resources for single parents and soon-to-be
single parents looking for information about these important issues.
Divorce and family laws are complicated, and often seem
to make no sense. When you add to that complexity the different rules
and family law systems which each state has, it's no wonder that it's
so hard to make sense of it all.
That's why we're here. We provide information for you broken down by
each state, as well as by category. Some of the information is quite
similar from state to state, such as the best way to go about finding
an attorney. But other states' information varies quite a bit
from state to state. For example, some states deal with marital
property via a community property system, while others don't follow
the community property rules, and instead use something called
"equitable distribution".
Once you have figured out the information you need for your particular
state or states, you may want to purchase our downloadable Directory
of Legal Agencies and Resources for all 50 states, which is on sale
for only $19.95.
